Grocery tracking without bank linking FAQ
These answers separate the bank-free workflow from its real processing and sync boundaries.
Can I track grocery spending without linking a bank account?
Yes. Radish builds the grocery view from receipts you scan or add by hand. It does not connect to a bank account, read balances, or import a transaction feed.
Does Radish require a Radish account?
No separate Radish email-and-password account is required. Apple services handle subscription billing and can support sealed household sync when available, but Radish does not ask for a bank login.
Can I use Radish without uploading receipt photos?
Yes. You can add a receipt by hand. Receipt scanning is optional and starts only after you give permission; declining or disabling it leaves manual entry available.
What happens when I choose to scan a receipt?
Radish can send up to four selected receipt photos through its Cloudflare-hosted receipt service to OpenAI to create an editable draft. You review that draft before saving it.
Does Radish sell grocery data or use it for advertising?
No. Radish does not sell grocery data, show ads, use receipt data for advertising, or use analytics for cross-app tracking. Limited product analytics excludes receipt content and grocery details.
What are the limits of receipt-based grocery tracking?
The view is incomplete when receipts are missing or not confirmed. Radish does not see balances, income, or other transactions, and it does not forecast spending, recommend a budget, or promise savings.
